Amaara

A connected digital healthcare ecosystem for providers and patients

Project overview

Amaara is a connected digital healthcare ecosystem that helps manage human health — with intuitive interfaces for care providers and patients, practice-management tools, clinician-designed medical templates, collaboration across the care continuum, and integration with medical devices.

Problem statement

Healthcare delivery is fragmented across providers, patients and devices. Disconnected tools slow down clinical workflows and make collaboration across the care continuum difficult.

Solution

A unified, intuitive ecosystem delivering practice-management tools, clinician-designed templates, dedicated provider and patient experiences, and medical-device integration — built natively for both iOS and Android.

Architecture used

Native iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) apps built on an MVVM + Clean Architecture foundation, with REST API integration, secure authentication, push notifications and modular feature boundaries.

My contributions

As Technology Lead at Amaara Vectors, I led the architecture, design and delivery of the iOS and Android apps — owning coding standards, CI/CD (Fastlane, GitLab CI), performance optimization and release management across many App Store and Play Store releases.

Challenges & solutions

Delivering a reliable, secure healthcare experience with medical-device integration and sensitive patient data, while iterating rapidly across frequent releases on both platforms.

Lessons learned

Building for clinicians and patients demands relentless focus on reliability, security and intuitive UX — and a shared architecture that keeps iOS and Android in lockstep.
